PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School French classes are raising funds for a trip to Montreal. They are planning on 27 to 30 participating French class students. The estimates cost is $505 a student.

The French Club is hoping to raise $9,000 to make the trip affordable for all students who want to go. Anyone wishing to donate can send a check or money order to Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, c/o French Club Montreal Trip, 256 Main St., South Paris, ME 04281.

The club has planned a raffle for a pair of tickets for grandstand seats in Fenway Park for a 2011 Red Sox game. The tickets are $5 each or three for $10. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, Feb. 12. Tickets can be bought at various fundraising events, from French class members and teachers.

Students are also selling retailer discount cards for $10 each. Local businesses include Books ‘n Things; Beltone; Pizza Hut; Dunkin’ Donuts, Bridgton; Tom’s Homestead 1821 Restaurant, Bridgton; Wilson Leather, Auburn; Domino’s Pizza, Lewiston; Taco Bell, Lewiston; Sears, Lewiston. The cards also can be used for many nationwide stores as well as for online shopping.

The club also has a bottle drive through Friday, Feb. 11, at Don’s Redemption on Main Street, Norway.

They will hold a Scrapbooking/Crop Fest from 9 am. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the First Universalist Church, Norway. The cost is $10 for a day full of cropping activities, break-out sessions to learn new techniques, a raffle for scrapbooking supplies and a scrapbooking catalogue sale. Refreshments will be on sale.

Upcoming events will include a Baked Bean and Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Feb. 5; Chartres Labyrinth on Saturday, Feb. 12; and a Franco-American Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 19.
