SOUTH PARIS — Henry Frank Jones, 84, of Oxford passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

He was born in Auburn, March 27, 1926, the son of Frank L. and Lottie Record Jones. He graduated from Edward Little High School and had been a self-employed carpenter. He faithfully served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Virginia Whittemore on Dec. 3, 1960. He was a member of AACA of Volusia County, Florida, and had been a beekeeper all of his life. He loved life, was good to everyone and was mild mannered. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Oxford; a granddaughter, Ashley Marie Mayfield; a grandson, Ryan Andrew Mayfield; and a son-in-law, J. Darrell Mayfield.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Carol Mayfield; and a sister, Ethel Frances Cash.
