Amanda Burgess of Auburn, right, has just completed a fall internship in Congressman Mike Michaud’s office in Washington, D.C. Burgess, a graduate of Edward Little High School, graduated from Colby College in May with a double major in government and religious studies. Burgess also interned in Michaud’s district office in Waterville during her time at Colby. “I have really enjoyed the opportunity to work for the congressman in Washington and Waterville,” said Burgess. “The experience has given me a better understanding of how hard members of Congress work to respond to constituents and represent their concerns at both the local and national level.”
