WEST PARIS — Laurette A. Nicholas, 90, of North Norway died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Ledgeview Living Center.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., Feb. 17, 1920, the daughter of Willie and Alida Verrette Dubois. She attended schools in Berlin and had been employed as a woodworker at Wilner Wood Products.
She retired from Norway Footwear in 1986. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting. She married Nazaire P. Bedard. He passed away in 1977. She married Peter E. Nicholas in 1987. He passed away on Sept. 8, 2009.
She is survived by a son, Nazaire Peter Bedard III and his wife, Marilyn, of North Norway; a brother, Alphonse Dubois of Minot; five sisters, Lucille Wojchik of Norway, Marie N. Parlin of Florida, Aurora Maurcoux of Sherbrook, Quebec, Rita Brackett of Guilford, N.H., and Jermaine Martin of Sherbrook, Quebec; grandchildren, Peter J. Bedard and Courtney of South Paris, Michael W. Schmal and Kimberly of South Carolina, Carol L. Marshall of West Paris, Penny J. Bedard of Oxford, Pamala A. Bedard of Stoneham and Paul D. Bedard and Julie of Oxford; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Albertine Dubois and Doris Abbott; and a brother, Lucian Dubois.
