Bridge results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 3 were as follows:

First, Les Buzzell and Paul Sherman; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; fourth, Jane Elliott and Paul Mitnik; first in B, Jane Elliott and Paul Mitnik; second, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schooner Estates, Auburn. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 743-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.

Donations sought

TURNER — Donations are being requested to assist Marie McCafferty of Buckfield, who lost her business, Marie’s Pet Retreat, in a fire on Dec. 22.

Jana Swengel has organized the collection of building supplies, money, towels, large plastic dog crates and other items for the business. Items can be dropped off toSwengel or Jaylene Gonyea at Richardson’s Sales, 225-3460, 1630 Auburn Road.
