Emily Burke, 10, a sixth-grader at Walton Elementary School in Auburn shelves returned books after school on Wednesday. Burke puts in four hours of volunteer work in the children’s section at the Auburn Public Library. She said she loves to read and being around books is great; she aspires to be a writer. “Emily has an incredible work ethic for such a young person, always willing to help wherever needed,” said Laurie Pinkham, assistant children’s librarian.
