LEWISTON — The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon series at USM/Lewiston-Auburn College on Friday, Jan. 14, will feature a presentation by Charles Plummer on “Curiosity As a Tool for Enriching One’s Life.”

Studies have shown that joy and personal growth in life happen when exploring new experiences and positive events. Curiosity plays a critical role in the pursuit of a meaningful life by adding to the knowledge, skills and competence that humans already possess.

Plummer will share tools and techniques that help to better cope with challenges of everyday life and develop a better understanding of ourselves.

Plummer is a longtime Senior College instructor and former board member. He is a retired educator and school administrator and is known for his living history presentations. His most recent Senior College course was “A History of Utopia and Terror.”

Senior College, now in its 12th year, presents the monthly noon program in the Function Room 170 at USM LAC. The cost, which includes lunch, is $7 with advance reservation or $8 at the door.

Reservations must be made by noon Thursday,  Jan. 13, by calling 753-6510. Any late callers will be considered “at the door.”
