AUGUSTA — Committal services honoring the life of Robert O. Kilkenny were held Thursday at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Augusta. During the service, words of remembrance were shared by Bob’s granddaughter, Brandy Keith, and the song, “Go Rest on the Mountain” by Vince Gill was played in tribute to Bob. The U.S. Army honor detail then played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Bob’s wife, Linda in recognition of her husband’s service to his country during the Vietnam Conflict. Bearers were John and Lawrence Kilkenny as well as Gilbert and Dennis Donahue. Arrangements by Dillingham and Son Memorial Chapel and Tribute Center, Auburn.
