The Beaver Park trails in Lisbon are groomed for traditional cross country skiing and are in condition, and snowshoers are also welcome. People snowshoeing are asked not to walk on the groomed ski track, but to make a trail beside it. The trails are wide enough to accommodate both users. Dogs are not allowed on the groomed trails, but are welcomed to walk along the park road. Park maps are available on the Lisbon Web site. For more information, contact Park Ranger Verla Brooks via e-mail at [email protected] or phone Beaver Park at 353-9075. Kelsey Purinton of Lisbon is on her first cross country ski outing of the season.
