TURNER — The wedding of Kimberly Jean Purington and Shawn Richard Soucy was held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Calvary Baptist Church in Turner. Pastor Steve Christner officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Soucy is the daughter of Charlotte Purington of Oxford and the late Erland Purington. Mr. Soucy is the son of Brenda and Ronald Bussiere of Turner and Richard Soucy and wife, Colleen Lahey of Casco.
The bride was given in marriage by her cousin, Leonard Canwell. She wore a gown of white lace with beading and rose design and carried a bouquet of royal blue and white flowers.
Attendants for the bride were her sisters, Cynthia Mateo and Becky Newell.
Best man was Nick Bolduc, best friend of the bridegroom. Ushers were Daniel Bussiere, stepbrother of the bridegroom, Gregory Lappen and Sam Young, nephews of the bride, and Tim Hinkley, friend.
A reception followed at Fore Seasons at Turner Highlands Golf Course, after which the couple traveled along the coast of Maine for a few days. The wedding cake was created by a member of the church, Glenda Hinkley. The couple is residing in Poland.
