OXFORD — An engineer contracting for Black Bear Entertainment will be at Thursday’s Planning Board meeting to discuss a site plan review application for the planned casino.

Robert Berry from Main-Land Development Consultants Inc.of Livermore Falls will be in Oxford to answer any questions on paperwork submitted to the Planning Board on Dec. 30. He said his firm submitted applications to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection on Dec. 22.

Berry said Thursday the submitted plan is “pretty much the same plan” that was presented at a public hearing at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Dec. 7.

“There were some tweaks with parking spaces,” Berry said, but the parking count hasn’t changed.

Black Bear Community Development Director Scott Smith said architects from JCJ Architecture, the firm hired to design the casino, will also be there.

Smith said the meeting is procedural, a step in the process to getting approval. “I don’t anticipate this meeting is going to be political in nature,” Smith said.

The Oxford Planning Board meets Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Oxford Town Office.
