Zach Stanton of Bowdoinham pulls his fishing gear off the ice on Sabattus Pond after spending Monday morning with some of his fishing buddies. Stanton said they didn’t catch anything but were planning to come back in the afternoon. Fish For a Cure is hosting a pike derby on Sabattus Pond on Saturday, Jan. 15, to raise money for breast cancer research. There is a $3,000 first-place prize.
