JACKMAN, Maine (AP) — Officials say the investigation that led to a child pornography charge against a Maine kindergarten teacher began after a parent complained he made a child dress up in a French maid’s costume and then took photos of her.
The girl’s mother told school officials in Jackman on Dec. 8. Officials then spoke with 41-year-old Rob Mocarsky and placed him on leave.
Mocarsky was arrested last week after state police investigators found dozens of images of children on his computer, including some of his student at the Forest Hills School. Investigators say it’s unclear whether the photos of students were among the child pornography.
The Portland Press Herald says police later found other photographs of students in costumes.
Mocarsky has been working in Jackman since 2002.
