MEDFIELD, Mass. — Vera B. (Barrett) Thompson, 96, died in the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, Mass., Monday, Jan. 10.
She was born in Belmont, Prince Edward Island, Canada, the daughter of the late Robert and Ella (Crossman) Barrett. She has been a resident of Walpole, Mass., since 1989, moving from Rumford Center.
She was a homemaker for all of her adult life, raising and caring for her family. Mrs. Thompson was a former member of The Willing Workers of Rumford Center.
Survivors include a son, Ray E. Thompson of South Walpole, Mass.; a daughter, E. Rosalie Ware of Sandwich, Mass.; she was the cherished grandmother of three; and great-grandmother of two.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ray W. Thompson; and sisters, Viola Gamble and Vesta Winchester.
