LEWISTON — Santa Ana De La Rosa, 65, of Lewiston, passed away Dec. 31, at Central Maine Medical Center with close friends from VIP by her side.

Ana was born July 17, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Alfredo and Candelaria (Luna) De La Rosa.

Ana served our country in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1968.

She worked at VIP auto parts since 1969, and also worked at Sears for 25 years, where she received the lifetime achievement award.

Ana loved music, and enjoyed going to the theater and watching movies. She also enjoyed eating out at different restaurants and was a member of Seniors Plus.

Ana is survived by five sisters, Maria Ursua of Lubbock, Texas, Margarita and Felix Cortez of Dallas, Texas, Magdalena and Louis Trejo of Lubbock, Texas, Veremunda Ortiz and Marcelo Garcia of Eagle, Idaho, and Valentina and Chris Rogers of Lubbock, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Candelaria Luna De La Rosa on March 19, 1971; father, Alfredo De La Rosa in January 2007; and her brother, Alfredo De La Rosa of Lubbock, Texas on Dec. 30, 2008.
