VFW to meet

LEWISTON — The Longley-Dionne Post 9150, VFW, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Multi-Purpose Center. Veterans eligible for membership are invited to join the post. The agenda will include upcoming veterans’ activities. For more information, call Armand Bussiere at 688-2291.

Health screenings

LEWISTON — St. Mary’s Take Charge! community health screenings during February will include a free two-week core membership to HealthSteps fitness classes.

The screening includes testing total cholesterol and HDL along with a written health risk assessment, height, weight and blood pressure measurement. As part of the program, participants will receive a personalized review of results and health risks that will be explained by an exercise physiologist followed by health education. Cost is $25.
