MEXICO — The following incidents were handled recently by the Mexico Police Department.
Thefts
* A Coolidge Road, Dixfield, resident reported at 12:06 p.m. Jan. 11 that someone had stolen a snowboard and boots, valued at about $1,200, which makes it a felony theft, from his pickup truck when it was parked overnight at the Advance Auto store.
* A Harlow Hill Road resident reported at 12:01 p.m. Jan. 5 that someone had stolen $220 from her purse sometime between Dec. 30 and 31.
Burglaries and thefts
* A resident of Swain Road of Rumford reported at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 12 that someone had broken into her vehicle while it was parked on the Roxbury Road near Tommy Guns, and had taken about $580 in items, including a GPS system and compact discs.
* A Katie Lane resident reported at 1:29 p.m. Jan. 8 that someone had siphoned 75 gallons of kerosene from her outside storage tank. The fuel was valued at $225. Also, she reported that someone entered her home and vandalized her furnace. The amount of damage has not yet been determined. The incident is believed to have occurred two days earlier.
