FARMINGTON — The 9th Annual Farmington Rotary’s Price Is Right event takes place in March, but due to the popularity of the event, a “ticket blowout sale” takes place Saturday.

Tickets, sold on a first-come, first-served basis, will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 22 at the Greater Franklin Chamber Office on Routes 2 and 4.

The Price is Right will have a mardi gras theme and is planned for 6 p.m. March 26 at Mt. Blue High School Auditorium.

VIP tickets will be limited to four per person. Ticket prices are: VIP $15; regular seating $10.

Because the event has sold out the last two years, Rotary members decided to offer one large sale of tickets Saturday to give everyone an early chance, Ivan Gould said.

There are only 40 VIP seats and those ticket holders will be able to go in early and pick the seat they want. They will receive a goody bag filled with water and items from area businesses, he said.

After the Saturday sale, tickets will be available at Ron’s Market, Camden National Bank, Bangor Savings Bank, the Chamber office and Douin’s Market in New Sharon, he said.
