JAY — There will be two informational meetings Tuesday, Jan. 18, for residents to learn how single-sort recycling works.
The town plans to change to that method Monday, Feb. 14.
Ecomaine representative Missi Labbe, program development manager, will explain single-sort recycling and answer questions at sessions at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the town office. Attendees will learn what the changes are, how and what to recycle and where to take their recyclables.
The first 20 households will receive a free recycling tote, according to a flyer passed out at a recent selectmen’s meeting.
