NORTHPORT, Ala. — Kathy Adams Iller, 61, of Northport, Ala., died Jan. 16, at home.
She was born April 18, 1949, in Norway, the daughter of Richard M. and Helen Bradbury Adams. She graduated from Buckfield High School in 1967, and the University of Maine in 1971.
She worked for various McDonald’s in the Maine/New Hampshire area and most recently for LeClere Management. She then became interim executive director of the Auburn Chapter of the American Red Cross. Next, she was an educational technician working with ESL students at Edward Little High School in Auburn. She also enjoyed tutoring students in Spanish.
She was very active in the Lewiston-Auburn Chapter of the MS Society. She and Lowell moved to Northport, Ala., in 2006, where they were members of Grace Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Iller of Northport; a daughter, Sarah Elaine Griffith (Steve) of Northport; stepdaughters, Jennifer Iller Gunderman (Chris) of Colorado, Sonja Iller Stahl (Heiko) of Germany and Amy Smith (Chris) of Texas; a sister, Bonnie Maguire of Searsmont; brothers, Rick Adams (Nonie) of High Point, N.C., and Brian Adams (Callie) of Sabattus; her mother, Helen B. Adams of Buckfield; grandchildren, Steven N. Griffith Jr., Joshua Griffith and Katherine P. Griffith, all of Northport; and stepgrandchildren, Miley Gunderman, Lina Stahl and Shelby Smith.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard M. Adams; and a brother-in-law, Greg Maguire.
