FARMINGTON — Asenith K. Sechtman, 89, of Sanders Road, Livermore, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 17, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center, after a short illness.
She was born in Orono, Sept. 14, 1921, the only child of Norman J. and Gladys (Cunningham) Kelley. She was educated in Waterville schools. She graduated from University of Maine in 1943, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She worked for many years in Hartford, Conn. hospitals as a registered laboratory technician. In 1950, she married William Sechtman. They retired in Maine in 1967. He passed away in 1980.
She is survived by cousins, Muriel and Albert Bowerman of Livermore, Michael and Nancy Bowerman, Stewart, Andrew and Susanna Bowerman, all of Shoreline, Wash., and Robert and Robin Bowerman and Elisabeth and Zachary Bowerman, all of West Falmouth, Mass.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Sechtman; her parents; and a favorite aunt and uncle, Louise and Ervin Marcou.
