BUCKFIELD — Town officials were briefed Thursday on winter storm contingencies by Oxford County Emergency Management Director Scott Parker.
This was fourth in a series of Oxford County tabletop disaster exercises after presentations in Otisfield, Sumner and Hartford. They are designed to inform municipal officials what they need to do in an emergency and where to find plans of action.
Participants in the exercise led by Parker and Sumner Emergency Management Director Tom Standard, were Town Manager Glen Holmes, Fire Chief Steve Campbell, Rescue Deputy Chief Chip Richardson, Selectmen John Lowell and Robin Buswell, and Town Clerk Cindy Dunn.
During the exercise, officials recommended appropriate responses as Parker introduced complications to disaster scenarios.
