LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met at Murray Hall on Jan. 17 with 30 members present. 

On the sick list were Lucille Frechette, Shirley Toncer, Diane Getz and Patricia Couture. Athanase and Nancy Couture were welcomed back after a brief absence. A thank-you note was received for the donation in memory of Marilyn DeSoto’s sister.

Wilfred Laplante and his group will entertain the group on Monday, Feb. 14. A potluck lunch will be served on that day. 

Chairwoman Shirley Couture, Theresa Bilodeau and George Doiron entertained at the meeting with a senior citizens version of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

The 50/50 was won by Marilyn Desoto and door prizes, donated by Carmen Moreau and Ellie Mitchell, were won by Francis Therrien and Fernande Doiron.

Following the meeting refreshments, brought in by Marilyn DeSoto and Ellie Mitchell, were served. Board and card games were played after refreshments.

Next week Nancy Couture and Theresa Bilodeau volunteered to bring the refreshments.

Anyone 55 or over is welcome to join the group at 1 p.m. every Monday at Murray Hall for a brief meeting, followed by socializing.
