Winthrop 26, Winslow #2 22 — Antonio Meucci hit one of two free throws to give the Winthrop Ramblers a four- point lead with three seconds remaining. Trailing 15-11 at the half, Winthrop scored the first seven points of the second half, including a strong post move by Hunter Hamlin, giving Winthrop a 3 point lead. With the third period coming to a close, Kianu Earle (15 points) banked in a 3-point shot from half court to tie the score at 18 for Winslow. Jacob Hickey scored four of his eight points in the fourth period to give Winthrop a three-point edge leading up to Meucci’s foul shot. Garrett Tsouprake played a solid game for Winthrop, contributing seven points and several key rebounds for the Ramblers (6-1).
