Fibromyalgia support

RUMFORD — The fibromyalgia support group will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, on Lowell Street on the left side of Hotel Rumford. Upcoming meetings will be March 13 and April 20. There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited.

Scrapbooking workshop

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing and Rumford Hospital will offer a Valentine’s Day scrapbooking workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “Scrapping for Your Valentine” will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Rumford Hospital, conference room C.

Presenter Martha Hill will teach about scrapbooking while participants create a custom Valentine’s Day card. No experience is necessary and materials will be provided.

Drawing workshop

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing and Rumford Hospital will offer a touch drawing workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. The session will take place Tuesdays, Feb. 15 through March 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Rumford Hospital, conference room C.

Touch drawing provides an opportunity for relaxation, reflection, expression and rejuvenation. The process involves drawing with fingers and hands, allowing impulses to well up from within and take form.

Presenter Carleen M. Dupuis will encourage participants to let nourishing energy flow, trust the body’s wisdom and intuition, and access deep sources for healing and inspiration. No previous art experience is necessary.
