AUBURN — Robin Lynn (Smart) Taylor of Mechanic Falls passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, with her family and friends at her side.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1962, the daughter of Stuart and Janet (Hopkins) Mitchell of Dixmont.

Robin was the wife of Clarence Taylor of Mechanic Falls. They were married on April 22, 1988. She graduated from Nokomis High School, Class of 1981, and she worked all her life in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Robin is survived by her husband; her son, Matthew Smart and his fiancee, Christina Mahony, of Mashpee, Mass.; stepchildren, Tommy Taylor of Mechanic Falls and Cindy Polisky and her husband, Jim, of Auburn; sister, Lori Smart of Lewiston; her parents; brothers, Eric Smart and his wife, Linda, of Newburgh, David Smart and his wife, Donna, of Dixmont and Shawn Mitchell of Dixmont; grandchildren, Kylie and Genny of Mashpee Mass.; stepgrandchildren, Austin, Brandon and Ethan Polisky of Auburn; very special friends, Mary Bunnell, Mark Lauze, Linda Kimball and Rozan Truman; brothers and sisters-in law, Gloria and Roland Chabot, Betty Thurlow, Kendall Thurlow, all from Mechanic Falls, Helgia Taylor, Kenneth and Brenda Taylor of Klamath Falls, Ore., Harold Williams of Casco and Rodney and Sherri Taylor of Auburn; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Melvin Taylor of Mechanic Falls; stepson, David Taylor; sister-in-law, Marion Williams; and brother-in-law, Allen Taylor.
