LEWISTON — Maurice and Jeanne Michaud of Lewiston recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married on Dec. 9, 1950, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.

They both retired in 1993 from Maurice Michaud Plumbing and Heating Inc., which they operated for 17 years. He was a master plumber and she was a secretary and bookkeeper.

Through their married life they enjoyed raising their son, playing cards with friends on Saturday nights and traveling by bus and plane to many places around the country.

Their family includes their son, Norman and his wife, Debbie, and they also have one grandson, Brian, and his wife, Anisa. All reside in Lewiston.
