PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School French classes are working to raise $9,000 for a trip to Montreal. There are 27 to 30 French class students planning to go at a cost $505 a student.

They are raising the funds to make the trip affordable for all students who want to go. Anyone wishing to donate may send a check or money order to Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, c/o French Club Montreal Trip, 256 Main St., South Paris, ME 04281.

Fundraisers include a raffle for a pair of tickets for grandstand seats in Fenway Park for a Red Sox game. The tickets are $5 each or three for $10. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, Feb. 12. Tickets can be bought at various fundraising events, from French class members or teachers.

Students are also selling retail discount cards for $10 each for local businesses, national businesses and online shopping. The club has a bottle drive through Friday, Feb. 11, at Don’s Redemption, Main Street, Norway.

They will hold a Scrapbooking/Crop Fest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Norway. The cost is $10 for a day of cropping activities, break-out sessions to learn new techniques, a raffle for scrapbooking supplies and a scrapbooking catalogue sale. Refreshments will be on sale.

A De-Stress Fest is planned on 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Norway. The event will include a Chartres Labyrinth (replica) Walk, stress management workshops and information. Students are charging $10.

A Franco-American dinner is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, in the culinary arts classroom at the high school. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

The meal will feature Franco-American/French-Canadian meat pies, salmon pies, vegetarian pie, blueberry muffins, pea soup and other traditional dishes. Some French cuisine may be added, as well.

A baked bean and chili cook-off is planned for Saturday, Feb. 5.
