In the Sun Journal of Jan. 23, there was an article about how documentation of President Barack Obama’s birth can only be released with his consent.

With all the hoopla about Obama and the question as to where he was born, if I were Obama, I would call Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie or send him a letter and give him permission to release the birth certificate information, if I had nothing to hide. Of course, I am not president.

Why all the roadblocks? Surely a letter from the president to the governor of Hawaii would end all the speculation. The former governor of California does not have a problem with stating where he was born, why should the president?

That would clear up all those who keep complaining about the situation.
