It’s been a long time coming, but several Maine performing artists have a new showcase in the eight-part series, “Exit 13,” produced by WCBB-TV (Channel 10) in Lewiston.

The first show, scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, will feature the well-known trio Schooner Fare, whose nautical and Celtic-style harmonies have been heard by thousands of people since the group formed in 1975.

Other groups to be featured early in the series include Abrams and Anderson, an improvisational comedy duo, the Wicked Good Band ( who also wrote the “Exit 13” theme) and Dave Mallet.
