PARIS — The Rotary Club of the Oxford Hills has announced that its spring fundraising raffle has begun and will benefit its scholarship fund for students at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Tickets are on sale, and only 125 tickets will be sold at $50 each, with all of the proceeds after prizes are awarded benefiting the scholarship fund.
The Rotary Club provides $725 scholarships to seven of this year’s graduates. Two of the scholarships are named in honor of deceased members, David Paine and David Hankins.
Once all of the tickets are sold, there will be $100 raffle prizes drawn each week for 10 weeks. Each ticket will be eligible for all 10 weekly prizes. The grand prize drawing will feature a first prize of $1,000, a second prize of $500 and four third prizes of $125 each.
Ticket may be obtained by calling Paul Thornfeldt at 744-9383 or by mailing a check for $50 to Thornfeldt at P.O. Box 108, Paris, ME 04271. Tickets will be mailed.
