ORONO —The University of Maine men’s basketball has been selected to play at Siena on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. as part of the ESPN BracketBusters series.
Unfortunately, the game will not be televised on one of the ESPN’s 178 networks.
Maine and Siena were once conference rivals in the old North Atlantic Conference. This will be the first time they have faced each other since 1989.
The Black Bears are currently ranked 25th in the most recent CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll released today. They are riding a seven-game winning streak and sit atop the America East standings with an 8-1 record, 14-7 overall.
Maine will be televised locally Tuesday night when it takes on Boston University in Boston. The game tips off at 7:30 on Comcast SportsNet New England (Channel 24 or 779 for HD in the Lewiston/Auburn area). The Black Bears beat the Terriers back on Jan. 2 in Orono, 65-52.
