Grange program

POLAND — Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Excelsior Grange for a 6:30 supper. The business meeting will begin at 7:30 and will include a talk by Dr. John Reeder on the balloon festival. A 50/50 raffle and attendance drawing will be held. All members and guests are welcome.

Play dates

LEWISTON — St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion will hold an intergenerational play date from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. Children will sit and listen to stories read by elders, participate in crafts and sing-a-longs and have free play.

The play date will be held in the first-floor gym at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, 102 Campus Ave.

Play dates will be held every Saturday beginning in February. All ages are invited to attend with their parents or grandparents. For more information, contact Julie Bero at [email protected] or 777-4250.

Church concert

AUBURN — Cornerstone, a contemporary Christian music band, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Philip’s Church.

Cornerstone will offer an evening of “music for the soul” in a casual atmosphere. The band has been together for almost nine years and has performed across Maine.

A combination of many of the well-recognized contemporary Christian songs the band is known for, as well as a mix of some new music, will be featured.

A potluck supper beginning at 5 p.m. will precede the free concert at 6:30. The event is being sponsored by St. Philip’s Church family groups and is open to anyone wishing to join for the potluck or just the concert.

To introduce lodge

AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will have a social meeting on Monday, Feb. 7, to introduce to all those who are interested in how meetings are run and about the projects and benevolences supported by the worldwide order.

The session will be held at 6:45 p.m. at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane. The meeting will take place at 7 in the activities room in the lower level of the residential side of the home, which is handicapped accessible.

During the business meeting a collection will be taken for the American Heart Association. Everyone is asked to wear red in remembrance of Feb. 4, National Wear Red Day. To conclude the program, members and guests will be asked to share love stories and poems.
