FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter staff has announced a “spirited young female seeks a life-long companion.”

Staff said Twiggy, an Akita mix, is smart and she needs a person who will keep a firm hold on her. They said her interests include shoes, jogging, playing ball and fun in the snow.

They added that she is eager to please the person she is with and she does not like to share that person with others. Twiggy, 1 to 2 years old, does not get along with most dogs and cats.
