PERU — Friends on a Mission youth group will sponsor a Valentine banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the United Baptist Church of Peru.
Those attending will be greeted at the door and escorted into the social room. Entrée choices will be pasta with a choice of three different sauces, marinara, seafood alfredo and chicken cordon bleu, accompanied by salad and homemade bread.
Dinner will be followed by desserts ranging from homemade pies to cakes, tortes and cheesecake.
Alan Hutchinson will be on the keyboard and after-dinner entertainment will include the Newlywed Game.
All proceeds will benefit World Visions 30-Hour Famine, a project to raise money for the world’s hungry.
For every $30 the group collects, it will feed a child for a month. The 30-Hour Famine has become an annual project for Friends on a Mission. Reservations are not necessary, but helpful. For more information, call Cathy Hazelton at 562-8278.
