AUBURN — A talk about various hiking opportunities in New England will be presented Monday, Feb. 7, at a meeting of the Stanton Bird Club. The presentation will be given by Jeffrey Romano, outdoor writer and hiking enthusiast. He will discuss items in his newly published book, “100 Classic Hikes in New England.”
Romano, a New England native, has been hiking for more than 30 years. In addition to scaling New England’s 100 highest peaks, Romano has hiked throughout the wild places of all six states and beyond.
The Stanton meeting and Romano’s talk will take place at 6 p.m. at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St. The meeting is open to the public.
