LEWISTON — Marian V. McMorran, 88, formerly of Auburn, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Montello Manor, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Norway, Sept. 16, 1922, a daughter of the late Constantinos and Helen Verenis. She was educated in Norway and graduated from Norway High School, Class of 1940.

For decades, she was a parishioner at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lewiston, where she was also an active member of the Ladies Society, the Philoptochos.

Marian was devoted to her grandchildren, Thomas and Angie and she enjoyed following them in their activities. In her retirement, she traveled to many locations around the world. She will be missed for her generosity, her unselfishness and her pleasant, caring demeanor.

She leaves a daughter, Kelly McMorran of Auburn; two grandchildren, Angie Tanguay of Lewiston and Thomas Tanguay of Auburn; and two great-grandsons, Alexander and Samm Fleming.
