LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met Jan. 31 at Murray Hall with President Shirley Couture presiding and 32 members present. Reported on the sick list were Pauline Coombs and Shirley Toncer.
Rep. Paul Gilbert contacted Couture in regard to the changes in the insurance coverage for seniors in Medicare and Medicaid. Representatives will address the group on Monday, Feb. 28.
The group received a letter from Tri-Town Fuel Assistance in Livermore Falls in regard to the need for more donations to keep area residents warm. It was decided that the group would donate $50.
The 50/50 was won by Loretta Chabot. The door prizes, donated by Theresa Bilodeau, were won by Carmen Moreau.
On Monday, Feb. 7, the group will play beano. A Valentine meal will be served at noon Monday, Feb. 14.
Following the meeting, refreshments brought by Gloria Bickford, Aurelien Couture, Marguerite Slovak and Georgia Hersey were served. The members then socialized and played games and cards.
Carole Redman and Geraldine Richard volunteered to bring refreshments next week.
