This is in response to Lewiston Mayor Larry Gilbert. I would ask why he would say that if the Maineiacs leave Lewiston, a new team would be found.

It would not be that easy, and a new team would not be of the caliber that the Maineiacs are.

Having the Maineiacs in Lewiston is one of the best things the cities of Lewiston and Auburn have to offer. All the local stores, restaurants and hotels profit from it.

The teams spend money in the city. People who visit spend large amounts of money when they come to Lewiston. So, why can’t the mayor try to be positive and help out a little?
