CLEARWATER, Fla. — Aletha W. Grover, 79, of Clearwater, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Feb. 1.

She was born in North Jay in 1932. As a child, Aletha learned to play the piano and dance, but was stricken with polio at 9 years old. She eventually recovered and went on to teach piano and dancing.

She married her beloved husband, Donald Grover in 1953, and they remained inseparable until his death in 2010. She moved with her family to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1967, and ultimately to Clearwater, Fla. in 1999.

God, family and music remained central in her life. She was always an active member of the Methodist church, serving as a choir member, pianist and as a member of numerous church organizations.

She is survived by her son, Mark; son, David and his wife, Adrienne; grandchildren, Tom and Adam; and many wonderful relatives and friends too numerous to name.

Words of condolence and tribute may be shared with her family at www.wilesrc.com.
