Valentine party
PARIS — The Paris Public Library is hosting a Valentine’s Day party for children from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Participants will decorate cookies, hear holiday stories and make valentines and other crafts.

Land sign-up
PARIS — Donovan Todd III, executive director of USDA’s Farm Service Agency in Maine, has announced general sign-up for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) will be held from March 14 through April 15.
Farmers and ranchers may offer eligible land for CRP’s competitive general sign-up at their county Farm Service Agency (FSA) office.
Land not enrolled in CRP may be offered in the sign-up if all eligibility requirements are met. CRP participants with contracts expiring this fall may make new contract offers. Contracts awarded are scheduled to become effective Oct. 1.
