Valentine dance

FARMINGTON — Farmington Emblem Club 460 will sponsor a Valentine dance for members and guests from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Elks Lodge. Entertainment will be provided by Legends.

The cost is $20 a couple. Tickets can be purchased at Mooseville, through any member or by calling Shannon at 778-4726.

Noon luncheon

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. The menu will include beef stew, corn bread and red velvet cake.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon to have a meal delivered.

Penny auction

PHILLIPS — The 12th annual Penny Sale Auction will take place at noon Sunday, March 6, at the Phillips Public Library, Main Street. Advance tickets are on sale from now to March 6. For more information, call the library at 639-2665 or Winona at 639-4296.

Volunteers needed

JAY — The Knights of Columbus will hold a free public supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the hall, 148 Main St. The doors will open at noon. Donations will be accepted but are not required.

Supplies and volunteers are still needed. Call 779-6951.

An “On the House” free clothes store, across the street at the Jay Community Center, was opened by the Jay Active Youth. Hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
