FARMINGTON — Police are investigating a Thursday night burglary at Radio Shack on the Wilton Road.

About five, high-end iPod touches with an estimated value of $2,000 were quickly taken from a glass showcase after someone broke one of two glass front doors, Farmington Detective Marc Bowering said.

Evidently, the thief had an idea what he wanted and went quickly in and out, he said.

After smashing the door at about 11 p.m., the store alarm sounded and then the intruder broke the glass display case, took the iPod touches and left. Nothing else appears to have been taken, he said.

There are no suspects at this time. Anyone driving by the store next to Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell who noticed any activity at about that time on Thursday night is asked to contact Farmington Police Department at 778-6311.
