OXFORD — A meeting on the planned Oxford casino with the Maine Department of Transportation is set for Wednesday at the Oxford Town Office on Pleasant Street.

The public is welcome to comment at the meeting, where the DOT will go over a traffic study by Black Bear Entertainment consultant Diane Morabito of Maine Traffic Resources.

According to the site plan introduced last month to the Oxford Planning Board, the resort casino is set to have one main entrance on Route 26 through which all customers would enter. The plans call for a third lane for northbound traffic to turn left.

A secondary entrance on Rabbit Valley Road from early plans has been changed to a gated emergency entrance with a call box in the most recent plan.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Town Office in the upstairs meeting room.
