LEWISTON — Funeral services for Robert S. Caron were held Saturday at Holy Cross Church following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home.

The Rev. Maurice Morin officiated, assisted by the Rev. Lionel Chouinard and Msgr. Marc B. Caron. The scripture reading was proclaimed by Michael Josey, the prayer of the faithful was read by Paul Chouinard and the offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Elizabeth and Ashley Leclair, Stephanie, Jenna, Savannah and Natalie Caron.

The liturgical music was provided by Diane Biron, organist, and cantor Jennifer Caron. Committal prayers followed at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Patrick Caron carried his grandfather’s Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Chapeau and presented it to his grandmother at the conclusion of the services at St. Peter’s Cemetery, where all the grandchildren honored their grandfather with a balloon release. Pallbearers were all members of the Msgr. Martin Assembly and Wallace Assembly: Larry Thibault, Ivan Lazure, Gerry Henault, Maurice Dutil, Thomas Turnel and Joseph McGovern.

Honor guard members were Raymond Masse, commander, Albert Audette, Dan Leclair, Paul Beaucage, Ken Cote, Dick Vallee and Gerry Wilson.
