OXFORD — More than 30 firefighters from six departments battled a Sunday afternoon blaze that leveled a home in Oxford.

Oxford Fire Department reported that the fire at 36 Callahan Road, just off Route 121, was reported at 2:18 p.m. No one was home at the time of the fire, which completely destroyed the one-story home. A representative with the fire department said that the blaze did not appear suspicious, nor was it clear whether the home was occupied.

Firefighters from Norway, Paris, Otisfield, Mechanic Falls and Poland all assisted.
