AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “Enhance Your Management Skills Through Writing” from 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, March 21 through April 4. The cost of $175 includes materials.

Participants will learn how to take AIM (audience, intent and message) in their business writing to communicate clear expectations and yield greater productivity. The class will focus on a series of exercises and peer review to help organize thoughts and write in plain and correct English.

The course is ideal for managers and supervisors who need to enhance their writing skills for report writing, evaluations or other persuasive communication.

It will be facilitated by Dave Griffiths, freelance writer and editor who provides writing training, presentation skills training and media relations training for clients ranging from the U.S. Coast Guard to the Red Cross to the Department of Homeland Security. He has a degree in English from the University of Virginia and a masters in journalism from the University of Missouri.
