Fishing Derby

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Recreation Department ice fishing derby will be held Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19 and 20.

The derby is open to fishing on Thompson Lake and Pleasant Lake. All fish must be weighed in at the New Outpost, event sponsor, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The derby is open to all ages. Participants must sign up at the New Outpost and pay a $10 entry fee.

Prizes will be awarded for the three biggest togue by weight and three biggest bass by weight. First prize for togue is $175; second prize, $100; and third, $25 gift certificate; first prize for bass, $75; second, $50; and third, 12 pint size glasses.

Potluck supper

WEST PARIS — There will be a community potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the First Universalist Church on Main Street. There is no charge, and all are invited to bring a dish to share. A game night will follow.

Community supper

WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold a community potluck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. All are welcome. The hosts will be the Patries and the Engdahls.

Masonic supper

NORWAY — A public bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Norway Masonic Hall, 9 Temple St.

There will be three types of homemade beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, bread, coffee, drinks and homemade pies. Cost will be $7 for adults and $4 for children.
