TURNER — The SAD 52 Board of Directors will hold a budget workshop Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at Leeds Central School. Warrant articles for discussion include “regular instruction,” “school administration” and “other instruction.”

Regular instruction includes prekindergarten to grade 12 education. Recent parent forums have been held to share information and hear parent questions, concerns and feedback on a potential restructuring at the K-6 level. The restructuring would involve moving all fifth- and sixth-graders to Turner and be under the middle-school program. The potential restructuring will be discussed at the Feb. 16 board meeting.

“School administration” would also be a part of the restructuring conversation.

“Other instruction” includes all co-curricular/extracurricular activities across the district.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the budget process.
