As a parent of three children in the RSU 52 district, I totally understand the concerns of the parents from Leeds that were printed in the Sun Journal (Feb. 10). I do not feel that the proposal has been researched enough to implement at this time.

I understand that money needs to be saved in the budget, but at what expense?

For the action to be rushed through because the superintendent is retiring is totally wrong. Also, she won’t be around the next school year when this would be taking place and dealing with the issues that came from implementing those changes.

Fifth- and sixth-graders riding the bus with high school kids is not a good idea. The age difference is too much.

I will be voicing my concerns to school board members, as I am sure other parents will also.

There has to be another way.
